Undoubtedly, education is the chief defense of a country. No matter how strong a nation counts politically, strategically, or economically, its actual performance is measured as per the growth graph of education among its inhabitants.
The value of education can be traced down to the ancient times, wherein, scholars all over the world travelled across, leading to the exchange of cultures, ideas and most importantly knowledge. So the actual definition of “Education” is beyond the pile of degrees or cards of merits one may acquire. This means that the vast sphere of education can never be limited to the bookish knowledge or scorecards. What it exactly means, is being educated help us to imbibe the values of humanity. For instance, education has greatly helped us in our fight against several social evils like “Sati Pratha”, “Dowry”, “Child Marriage”, and “Female Feticides” etc.
With the advancement of education, especially during the modern and contemporary period, legends like Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Ishwar Chand Vidyasagar, Swami Vivekananda, and Swami Dayanand Saraswati, could render great services for the social cause and upliftment of the underprivileged sections of society. Keeping in mind the important role, education plays in our lives, we do see many changes in the educational system of the country. We have upgraded ourselves to the digitalized mode of education. Now, instead of the bulky bags to be carried over the tender shoulders of our wards, we do have the privilege of decreasing their workload and increasing their efficiency at the same time. To be precise, whichever mode we follow, the value of education will always remain as the stepping stone of human growth and evolution.
